Crazy Nice People community warning
Crazy Nice people ( CrazyNicePeople / CNP ) is a Discord-based cult that used a subreddit https://www.reddit.com/r/crazynicepeople for recruitment.
Prior to, and now after the Subreddit was banned for its abusive practices, the cult recruits using mass private message spam on Reddit, attempting to snare users of mental health subreddits.
They operate a system where the higher rank you attain, the more responsibilities for recruitment activities they place upon you. Essentially, once reaching a sufficient rank, you are not expected to just spam recruitment messages, but you are given weekly spam quotas to reach.
Most of the safety concerns that surround them concern the focused and targeted harassment of their former members and their critics. This unfortunately counts double for their former members who have spoken openly about the abuse they received from the leader. This has more recently escalated to confirmed cases of threats of sexual violence. The leader is a multi-substance addict suffering from issues with emotional regulation and tends to lash out aggressively at anyone in their vicinity when upset. Unfortunately, this requires the slightest of criticism or being challenged on their behaviour or ideas to set them off. Most of their abuses came to light due to the fact that a large number of victims contacted the moderators of various mental health focused subreddits, begging for help and advice to escape from them.

These are not exhaustive, but do highlight the severity and extended length of time the abuses of their leader have been sustained over.
Years were spent attempting to help them understand the problems with their behaviour, but they rejected our best efforts to help.
